The client was looking for a forward-thinking, modern design to replace the tired and dated existing structure. The goal was to attract professional tenants while supporting main-floor retail. The revitalization was achieved by adding two floors to the original structure and doing a complete overhaul on the interiors and exteriors. An elevator stack was incorporated at the front of the building, providing maximum interior spaces while supporting the modern massing in its dominant form. The reveal between the two forms was originally much more pronounced but changed during the time of construction.
